Oxytocin For Hot Sex

This other hormone — Oxytocin — that you generate yourself every time you receive sensual touch, look into your lover’s eyes, or have an orgasm — is often called The Cuddle Hormone.

HORMONES

Human beings are, in large part, run by our hormones, chemical signals that tell our body we are loved, we are horny, we are courageous, we are worried…

Hormones fuel our emotions; they make us fall in love; have babies; make us cranky.

Now then, In today’s toxic world full of endocrine disruptors, our hormones are faltering… Begging us to top them up like a public transportation prepaid card.

Both men and women require testosterone in different amounts.

If our Testosterone dips, we can augment it with exercise, the right foods, and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

Both touching and sex increase natural Testosterone for women and men. And when a woman has penis-in-vagina sex and absorbs semen into her vaginal tissue, she gets a boost of Testosterone PLUS two kinds of beneficial estrogen.

As women, if our Estrogen flags as we age, we can take a bio-identical estrogen cream or use an estrogen patch to balance it out with the other female sex hormone, Progesterone, at night. We can go one step further by putting a little Testosterone and DHEA on our vaginal mucosa to bring our sex hormones back to where they were in our most vital years.

OXYTOCIN

Oxytocin gel administered in the vagina can also reverse vaginal atrophy where the skin of the vagina, called the vaginal mucosa or epithelium, gets dried out from lack of Estrogen.

Some women use estrogen or DHEA-based creams such as JULVA to improve their vaginal tissue’s resiliency. But if you’re sensitive to Estrogen, Oxytocin gel might be a valuable alternative for you.

And yes, sex hormone supplementation will keep us younger, fuel our energy and libidos and lower our mortality rate from strokes, circulatory and heart diseases, even staving off depression, memory fog, dementia, and its evil cousin, Alzheimer’s.

This other hormone — Oxytocin — that you generate yourself every time you receive sensual touch, look into your lover’s eyes, or have an orgasm — is often called The Cuddle Hormone.

You can learn much more about it from my friend and hormone scholar, Dr. Lindsey Berkson, in her new book, Sexy Brain.

Oxytocin released from orgasm is what gives you that floaty, spacey, mellow feeling.

Oxytocin is both a hormone and a neurotransmitter, affecting the brain and the gut tissue and overall health. Along with estrogen, Oxytocin is a cancer-fighting hormone.

SSRI medicines lower Oxytocin making it harder for people with anxiety and depression to connect from lovemaking.

Bottom line: It bonds you to your partner. Especially with penis in vagina orgasms, Oxytocin and Prolactin make lovers feel sexually satisfied, calm, and connected.

LUSTY-LADY HORMONES

Interesting to note: the bonding process of Oxytocin actually makes a woman less lustful for their partner. It’s the sexual satisfaction chemical, not the chemical that makes a woman lust for a man.

Testosterone and Dopamine are lusty-lady hormones. For a man to excite his woman, he must be exciting to her. Bringing novelty into the bedroom is the best way to spike her dopamine. Then, when he ejaculates inside her, she gets a shot of his Testosterone. The hormonal cocktail of testosterone, dopamine, and Oxytocin will increase her desire for sex.

Orgasmic sex is a virtuous circle — the more good sex you have, the more you want.

According to Dr. Lindsey’s research, what women desire most from sex is satisfaction, whereas what men desire most is frequency. So keeping your hormone levels optimized through diet, exercise, sex, and supplementation if needed keeps your sex life humming. Here’s an interesting fact about Oxytocin. Women produce more than men. Women also need to feel more connection during lovemaking. It’s the Oxytocin that gives women the feeling of closeness they need to experience more intense orgasms. And when they have an intense orgasm and release Oxytocin, they bond to their partner more deeply.

This is one reason why women are more likely to fall in love when they have intercourse than men. Men are more transactionally focused on sex than women.
